We are very pleased to share with you the outcomes of our recent Canonical School Inspection, which took place on 20th November 2024. The Inspection Framework has been re-written since we were last inspected in 2017. The Catholic Church sets a much higher bar in this new framework. There are three areas which are inspected Catholic Life and Mission, Religious Education and Collective Worship. Each area is then judged against Pupil outcomes, Provision and Leadership.
As you will see in the attached report 7 out of 9 judgements were found to be Outstanding, with the other two Good. As a result, the Overall Effectiveness was judged as Good. However, this doesn't tell the whole story and I'm sure when you read the report you will be as proud of the school community as I am. The inspectors were very impressed with St Mary's and really captured our strengths. I am particularly pleased that the inspection team recognised that there is a highly nurturing, welcoming, inclusive sense of community at St Mary's.
